Air Fryer Baked Camembert Pigs In Blankets
Day 21 - Ahh, we are inching ever closer to the big day. 4 more sleeps to go! So for the final couple of days of A Country Countdown To Christmas, the recipes can be used for parties, Christmas Eve events and of course Christmas Day itself. This first recipe can be had throughout the year (I do as it's so delicious) but I find it's a really festive dish as a party plate, sharing starter or just for yourself. That is of course, my Air Fryer Baked Camembert Pigs In Blankets.
This recipe screams Christmas to me. Succulent plump cocktail sausages wrapped in a blanket of streaky bacon to be smothered in gooey, melting cheese stuffed with garlic, and infused with wine. This is a dish that can not be missed.
To make this cheesy festive plate you will need...
Ingredients
- Camembert Round
- 1-2 Garlic Cloves (or garlic puree will work well)
- 2-3 tbsp White Wine
- Cocktail Sausages
- Streaky Bacon
Method
- First, take the camembert out of its packaging and wrapper then place back into the bottom half of the box. Score across the top of the camembert one way then back the other to create small diamonds.
- Thinly slice the garlic cloves and gently push into the scores you've just made. Make sure to evenly space them over the cheese.
- Taking a fork gently poke a few holes over the cheese and then drizzle your wine over the top. This help the wine penetrate the cheese and infuse more evenly.
- This next step you can buy ready made if you're in a rush but I always make ahead of time. Take the streaky bacon and cut each rasher in half (or be extra naughty and use a whole rasher, no ones judging). Grab a cocktail sausage and wrap a piece of bacon around, set down on the joining side. Repeat until all the sausages are covered.
- Place the cheese in the middle of the air fryer basket and the pigs in blankets around the outside. Cook for 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbling and the bacon is cooked.
So there you have it, my Baked Camembert Pigs In Blankets. You can also add small toasted baguette rounds, veggie sticks or even breadsticks to make this more of a sharing, party plate. Why not add a pot of cranberry sauce on the side to enjoy with this dish.
If you make this dish, why not send me a picture on Instagram using the #acountrygirlskitchen so I can go over and show it some love.
I hope you all have a wonderful day.
