Apple & Blackberry Mulled Cider

Apple & Blackberry Mulled Cider

Day 4 - Now for those of you who have been following me you will know I love experimenting with different drink combinations, and at Christmas time that is no exception. This year was a bumper year for blackberries and apples, my freezer is over flowing with left over fruit from the season. So what better way to start using it up than in my Apple & Blackberry Mulled Cider.

The tartness of the fruit, paired with the cider and gentle heat from the spices make it the perfect warming drink for this time of year and ready in just 8 minutes.

To make this warming, fruity drink you will need...

Ingredients

  • 440ml Of Apple Cider
  • 1/2 tsp Caster Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 200g Blackberries (Fresh Or Frozen. For this batch I used frozen that I had picked this year)

Method

  1. Put all the ingredients in a large saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for at least 5 minutes over a low heat.
  1. Pass the mixture through a strainer to produce a clear liquid and serve!

It is honestly that simple.

So there you have it, my Apple & Blackberry Mulled Cider. Perfect for this time of year. This will 100% be on my drinks table for the Christmas Eve party. So quick and easy I can make it fresh as the guest arrive!

If you make this dish, why not send me a picture on Instagram using the #acountrygirlskitchen so I can go over and show it some love.

I hope you all have a wonderful day.
