Today post is proudly in partnership with the Cornish Cheese Company. Cornish Blue has been produced on the Stansfield’s farm on Bodmin Moor since 2001.

Are you one of these people that has to have a sauce when having a steak meal? Are you a blue cheese lover like myself? I for one HAVE to have a sauce when having a steak for my dinner. I like the traditional peppercorn sauces as well as a nice rich Diana, but the ultimate go too sauce for me has to be a blue/Stilton sauce.

When the Cornish Blue Company reached out too me, I knew instantly what recipe I was going to create with this delightful cheese. Today I will be sharing with you my deliciously creamy, super quick and easy Cornish Blue Steak Dipping Sauce.

You Will Need....

  • Double Cream
  • Cornish Blue Cheese

Yep, you read that right, your page isn't glitching, I haven't left a number more items off the list... it really is as simple as 2 ingredients. What to know something else? The process is so much simpler.

Method

  1. Empty the double cream into a saucepan and place over a low heat.
  2. Next add the chopped up blue cheese. You can add as little or much as you like in this step, it all depends on how rich you like your sauce to be.
  3. Turn the heat up and cook until the cheese it melted and the sauce has become a thick consistence. Remember to stir occasionally so the cheese doesn't stick to the pan and start to burn.
  4. Turn the heat up and cook until the cheese it melted and the sauce has become a thick consistence. Remember to stir occasionally so the cheese doesn't stick to the pan and start to burn.

That's it. Quick, simple and not only can it be used to accompany a glorious steak but I sometimes make up a batch and use as a fondue style dip and have with mushrooms, chunks of crusty bread, new boiled potatoes and other wonderful things.
